****Create and Control the Shade, Don’t Chase It**
Take a look at the shadow line in this picture. You can see the shadow on her arm and the lounge chair because the shade is tilted using one of the four large thumbscrews or quick-release mechanisms. Fine-tune levers enable you to adjust the shade in various ways: up, down, left, right, and even tilt it up or down.
The sunbather can quickly reposition the shade to further extend the shaded area over the lounge chair if desired. This adjustment can be made in seconds without having to leave the lounge. As the sun moves, you can easily adjust the shade. If the sun is coming from directly in front of you, simply tilt the shade down. What does direct or reflected UV Rays mean?
No shade structure can completely shield you from indirect exposure to UV radiation, the type that occurs when UV rays bounce off of reflective surfaces like water, sand, concrete and even snow. Under a beach umbrella, you may be receiving less direct UV radiation, but you’re still surrounded by sand that is reflecting UV rays on all sides of your beach chair or blanket. Because of these limitations, shade isn’t enough to protect you. This is true with UV-Oasis too, we make it easier to block the direct rays better so you can relax.
